Photo Hunters

This weeks photo hunt theme is plastic.

I saw all sorts of plastic at the homecoming parade they had this week for one of the local schools. I saw some cool and colorful plastic masks on along with lots of plastic flowers on some floats.

I also saw some very big inflatable plastic looking pink flamingos.

But by far my favorite shot of something plastic was when my youngest found a plastic tub and began playing with it.

I really don't know why we bother buying toys when it's the everyday normal stuff that keeps them so entertained.

Okay, these are all pretty darn amusing - but the little girl shot takes the cake! Very cute!

I love the flamingos, lol!
I have to agree though...even giant pink flamingos can't top your cutie. I have video of my firstborn doing the exact same thing...thanks for the reminder! :)

Nice colorful pictures. You have a good point. There's no need to buy so many new toys when simple creativity with everyday items will do just as well.

Great photos. I agree, the best one is of your daughter! By the way, it's my first visit to your page and I really like your header graphics.

Lovely shots - especially of the little one with the tub over her head. At about her age, I was given a pile of expensive toys for Christmas. But I ignored them all, and merrily climbed into a large box to play a game of my own invention, instead.

Great choices for this theme but by far I agree about the last being favorite of all. Of course kids like simple things -- remember how they play with the boxes better than the toy?

Have you seen mine?

I so agree that children love playing with everyday stuff. My two could be kept happy for hours with boxes and kitchen things.

Love the pink flamingo!

Welcome to the Photo Hunt :)

u r so right abt toys..sometimes it is the ordinary things which interest the kids n not the expensive educational toys we buy for them for the 'learning experience'

Good shots for the plastic theme. I know what you mean about the ordinary things entertaining children the most. It's always like that.

Good choices and you are so right about the toys. Even the cat likes playing with things around the house better. Thanks for stopping by my place.

So cute! I know what you mean about buying toys. My grandsons are just as interested in playing with an empty oatmeal container or laundry basket as anything else! Thanks for stopping by Pollywog Creek. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

That's awesome! And so like a child, to play with the bucket when it *used* to be filled with all those (wonderful?) toys!

One of my girlfriends tells her kids they're bucket-heads when they do this sort of thing. Guess it must be somewhat universal!
