Photo Hunters- What is That?

This weeks theme is what is that? So I immediately thought of this picture that I took a few weeks back while we were on vacation up in the mountains. I still don't know what it is exactly, some kind of weed or wild flower. But it reminded me of some kind of alien plant that was about to explode or something. See, I have such a great imagination don't I? Either that, or I have watched way to many movies with talking singing plants in them. Anyways, if anyone can tell me what this is then feel free, otherwise I will just keep on thinking of it as the alien weed like thing.

So there's my take on this weeks theme. For other views on this week's theme visit TNCHICK.com or

I know what that is - the singing plant from Sesame Street!

I have seen the plant before but have not idea what it is

That's a cool plant. It kind of looks like a carnivorous plant like a venus fly trap although most I've seen are red and green and have the spikes showing around the edges. This made me think of Little Shop of Horrors. If you haven't seen that, you can check it out on youtube - (NOT for children). Seymour Feed Me

First, tnchick's bug and now your plant. Stranger and stranger! Looks like it would hurt to touch.

I was thinking the same as Carver. Reminds me of 'Audrey II' from Little Shop of Horrors, lol. Probably a good thing you didn't bring it home.

Flowers maybe? Cause the weeds I've seen don't look anywhere as good as those!! :P

Looks like something from the movie - Invasion of the body snatchers!

It may be a type of globe thistle or just a plain old weedy thistle.

That is a very strange looking plant. I don't think I've seen one like that before.
